Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the fresh air a bit, and Indian Trail in Grant County, Oregon is just what you need. Indian Trail is situated a relatively long trip from La Grande, but if you're looking for a nice spot to go hiking, this is a nice pick. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The beautiful backcountry trails of the Blue Mountains are a very pleasant way to see these mountains. Indian Trail is a very long backcountry trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced walkers looking for an excellent
challenge. At Indian Trail you don’t see much rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. There's not much difference in elevation along Indian Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. Every Oregon great
outdoors trail has something unique to offer. This is a backcountry trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.
Briefly about the general area: Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Indian Trail is great! Moon Meadow is a great location
to stretch your legs a bit, and camping at Indian Trail is great fun, Corrigal Spring Campground is a great local campground. Snowshoe Spring is a stunning site to have a look at while you're at Indian Trail, and swing by Martin Creek it's a wonderful spot to check out. Visit
Badger Creek if you're here at Indian Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit John Day River - North Fork. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. If you come at the right time of year, Grande Ronde River offers some splendid whitewater, and if you came for an overnight stay
Deerhorn Campground is a pleasant place to camp. So much cool stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains, too great to be true. A short tour to Packsaddle Spring is always worthwhile. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the Blue Mountains. Big Creek Meadow is a charming place any time of year, and close by Dixson Bar is a great spot to go.
