This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. The time needed for this trek is roughly 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. For the duration of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Cupit Mary Meadow Trail. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cupit Mary Meadow Trail are in the 20's. If you're here at Cupit Mary Meadow Trail, you could have a look at Edith Creek; since you're here, do take a tour to Klovdahl Bay. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. A pleasant journey to Cupit Mary Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is McKenzie River - South Fork.
A short visit to Lillian Falls is always worthwhile, and Hills Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby.
