With its 181 miles of walking distance; it's a long backcountry trail.

Briefly about the general area:
Cispus River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Pacific Crest Trail - section 24 that you need to camp here for a while, Chambers Lake Campground is a fine place for that. Paddling on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork is so much fun, and a magnificent place like Burton Meadows here at Pacific Crest Trail - section 24 is too great to miss.
You have to without doubt dedicate some time to Blankenship Meadows while you're here at Pacific Crest Trail - section 24; don't forget to have a look at Hawkeye Point while you're here. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is abundant here in the Northern Cascade Range. Not far from Pacific Crest Trail - section 24 you can enjoy the trees of Grove of the Patriarchs; Pacific Crest Trail - section 24 is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Palisades Campground is a magnificent local campground.
