Nearby Acton Canyon is a nice place to go if you're at Pacific Crest Trail - section 8, and Blanchard Debris Basin is a glorious place to stretch your legs a bit. There's a forest here at Pacific Crest Trail - section 8 called Angeles National Forest It's always
perfect to take a look at Big Oak Spring. All year is a good time in the Sierra Madre if you go for the outdoors. Bleich Flat is a stunning place any time of year.
