Washington hiking trails - Windy Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Outdoors folks generally like this part of Washington. Hiking trails for backcountry backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Washington; one of them being Windy Trail in Okanogan County. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and Windy Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is a really tremendous location to spend some time. Windy Trail is relatively secluded from the nearest urban center, and It's always amusing to hike here. Every single Washington great outdoors trail is well worth a walk. High temperatures at Windy Trail during the months of summer
    are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Windy Trail are in the 10's. This is a two-ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have
the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. These great outdoors hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very good way to see these summits. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Some parts of Windy Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of hiking trails. Now this  
hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The length of this great outdoors hiking trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for a perfect challenge. Windy Trail is a location that is relatively dehydrated generally; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is July. Here in the nice state of Washington backcountry backpacking is something that is always fun to do. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Windy Trail is 18.4 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. The total elevation difference for Windy Trail is 2,851 feet which is a higher than average number. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 3 days normally, so it's a great thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.

Briefly about the general area:
Horsehoe Basin is right here at Windy Trail, and Windy Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Iron Gate Campground is a pleasant local campground. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Cascade Range. A trip to Pick Pocket invigorates the spirit, and do have a look at Wildhorse Creek while you're here at Windy Trail.
It's always pleasant to go to Chewack Falls, and don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Sunny Creek. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Windy Trail. Whitewater paddling is good on Chewuch River; get wet paddling on Chewuch River.
There's so much to do here at Windy Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Long Swamp Campground is a good spot for that, and if you crave a little side spree, try Horseshoe Pass.
