Briefly about the general area: Nearby Horseshoe Pass is a glorious spot to go if you're at Windy Trail; do stop by Sunny Creek since you're here at Windy Trail. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy
all the amusing things in the Northern Cascade Range. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Pick Pocket is a pretty spot any time of year; do put some time aside to spend at Chewack Falls while you're here
at Windy Trail. Windy Trail beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Places like Horsehoe Basin are nice to go to; swing by Wildhorse Creek it's a good spot to stop by. Soar down the rapids of Chewuch River in a kayak, and camping is available at Iron Gate Campground. Paddling on Chewuch River is so much fun, and a pleasant site to camp here at Windy Trail is Long Swamp Campground.
