is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. During the winter this spot gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Wildcat Trail. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors trails in this vicinity. There are two trailheads to chose
from, one in each end which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Being 6.8 miles long it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. The total elevation difference for Wildcat Trail is 2,402 feet,
and that is about average.
Briefly about the general area: Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a glorious time. Stay the night at Lower Falls Campground, and a pleasant visit to Wright Meadow is a fine way to spend an afternoon. There's so much to do
here at Wildcat Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Curly Creek Campground is a magnificent place for that; why not take a little trip to Spencer Creek if you're here. Some nearby water includes Wright Creek, and a delightful site to have a look at nearby is Cussed
Hollow. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in close proximity to Wildcat Trail. A good spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Wildcat Trail is Muddy River. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Lewis River - North Fork; since you're here at Wildcat Trail it's a glorious idea to stop at Spencer Meadow.
