Washington hiking trails - Wildcat Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  There are so many delightful wilderness hiking trails for backcountry hiking in Washington, and Wildcat Trail in Skamania County is one of them. When you're here in Washington backcountry hiking along one of its wilderness hiking trails is always an enjoyable thing to do. There are plenty of wilderness hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is different from the others. The number of wilderness trails in this region is not very high. Hitting the backcountry trails is always an exciting thing to do, and Wildcat Trail in Skamania County, Washington
    is such a wonderful place. This is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. With its 6.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry hike. Rather far from Hood River you run into Wildcat Trail, but when you backcountry trek
it you're always having a wonderful time. You should count on this hike taking about 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like the outdoors. The high level of rainfall makes Wildcat Trail a rather wet location; most of the rain falls during December; July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Wildcat Trail frequently tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the  
40's, and overnight lows at Wildcat Trail through the wintertime frequently drop into the 30's. Different parts of Wildcat Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for this wilderness trail is 2,402 feet, and that is about average. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backcountry hiking trail is a mid length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these hills. This wilderness trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way.

Briefly about the general area:
That right there is heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near Wildcat Trail is Lewis River - North Fork, and Spencer Meadow is a magnificent site to stretch your legs a bit. Wildcat Trail is a pleasant place to camp, Curly Creek Campground is a pleasant place, and why not take a little tour to Wright Creek if you're here.
Lower Falls Campground is a tremendous campground here, and Cussed Hollow is another glorious site to stop at nearby. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Wildcat Trail has it all. Muddy River is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Wildcat Trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Spencer Creek; locations like Wright Meadow are perfect to check out.
