This is one of a very small number of wilderness trails in this neighborhood. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. parts of it. There are wilderness trails all over Washington; one of those is Washougal Trail in Skamania County. The total elevation difference for Washougal Trail is 2,131 feet, and that is about average. This trek shouldn't take more than 6 hours, but of course some folks walk
a bit slower and some a bit faster. Washougal Trail has two trailheads, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Washougal Trail is a mid-length wilderness hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a
very tough wilderness trail for advanced backcountry trekkers looking for a wonderful challenge. Hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a perfect way to explore these mountains.

is Dougan Creek Campground, and do explore Bear Creek while you're here at Washougal Trail. Having a magnificent time in the Northern Cascade Range is simple. A great site to explore right next door to Washougal Trail is Poison Gulch, and why not a little side journey to Lookout
Creek. Why not camp at Sunset Campground since you're here at Washougal Trail; Washougal River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by.
