  Union Creek Trail is a very long way away from modern life, and it's one of those spots where backpacking is delightful. With so many outdoors things to do available in Washington you'll never get bored. Backcountry trekking in Washington is always an amusing thing to do. This is one of many backcountry hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Union Creek Trail in Yakima County, Washington is just what you need. This wilderness hiking
    trail has a total elevation difference of 3,404 feet which is a higher than average number. Backcountry hiking trails for backcountry trekking, and backpacking can be found all over Washington; one of these is Union Creek Trail in Yakima County. Union Creek Trail gets a lot of
water; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is typically the driest month. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Union Creek Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This backcountry trail is a backcountry trail of tremendous length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a wonderful backcountry hiking  
trail for experienced hikers in glorious shape. Each one of the many great outdoors trails of Washington has something unique to offer. Backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these highlands. This is a trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Union Creek Trail. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Union Creek Trail tend to be in the 20's. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 2.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Union Creek Trail is 15.8 miles long; it's considered a longer walk.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Union Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Union Creek Falls; Cement Creek is in close proximity to Union Creek Trail and is always a pleasure to pop by. And if that's not enough there's loads more exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Chinook Creek is a perfect whitewater spot right next door to Union Creek Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Barnard Saddle while you're here at Union Creek Trail.
Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Union Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Morse Creek Campground is a tremendous location for that; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is American River. Having a wonderful time at Union Creek Trail is trouble-free. A journey to Cement Basin revives the soul; Lake Basin is a magnificent spot.
If you came to camp Lodgepole Campground is a good place to do that; some close by water includes Mesatchee Creek.
