If you feel like a little side trip, try Mosquito Valley, and there's whitewater on American River for all you adrenaline junkies. Blankenship Meadows is a brilliant place to check out. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Twin Sisters Trail has to offer, you can camp at Knuppenburg Lake Campground.
