    outdoors trail. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. Here in Washington backcountry trekking is the delightful thing to do. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,307 feet which is about average. The length of Twin
Sisters Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a great challenge. This is an area covered with lots of backpacking trails. The backcountry trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a brilliant way to explore these highlands. The high level of precipitation makes Twin Sisters Trail a reasonably wet site; throughout January this region sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Don’t forget to check for any  
current restrictions or closures before you go. Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Throughout the long summer days at Twin Sisters Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Twin Sisters Trail are in the 10's. There's not much difference in elevation along the great outdoors trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. The time needed for this hike is roughly 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.

Briefly about the general area:
Camping is available at Knuppenburg Lake Campground, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
This is such a great river. Some close by water includes Red Rock Creek; if you fancy a little side spree, try Mosquito Valley. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. Sheller Creek is right next door to Twin Sisters Trail and is always a joy to check out, and Summit Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. A splendid site to camp here at Twin Sisters Trail is White Pass Campground, and everybody loves Blankenship Meadows.
