Washington hiking trails - Tunnel Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Each wilderness trail in Washington is well worth a backcountry hike. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go hiking, it is a splendid idea. Tunnel Trail is in a rather deserted area, and when you spend some time backpacking here you will feel like a whole new person. The length of this wilderness trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a brilliant challenge. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 8 hours, but you never know
    stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Throughout the warm months here at Tunnel Trail, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down
into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Tunnel Trail temperatures dip to the 10's. Tunnel Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,381 feet which is an average number. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. There are wilderness trails all over Washington; Tunnel Trail is one of them, and it's in Okanogan County. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets  
very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Not much rainfall falls here at Tunnel Trail; the month with most of the snow is December, and the driest month is July. This backcountry trail has two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Tunnel Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and Tunnel Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is just what you need. Washington is a wonderful site for outdoors folks. Backcountry backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a wonderful way to explore these peaks. This is a vicinity covered with lots of hiking trails. With its 8.6 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Tunnel Trail without first paying a visit to Salmon Falls; a great site like Whistler Basin here at Tunnel Trail is too glorious to miss. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Salmon Meadows is a great location here at Tunnel Trail.
And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. While staying at Tunnel Trail you could always look at Pelican Pass, and it's a tremendous idea to have a look at Clark Creek. A great site to camp here at Tunnel Trail is Alder Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Chewuch River. Tunnel Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Salmon Meadows Campground is a magnificent local campground; why not check out nearby Scheiner Creek while you're here at Tunnel Trail.
