Washington hiking trails - Tucannon River Trail, Blue Mountains, Garfield County

   
  Tucannon River Trail is located a rather long drive from Pullman, but when you spend some time backpacking here you will feel like a whole new person. Can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors, Tucannon River Trail in Garfield County, Washington is the great outdoors at its best. If you are in Washington during backcountry backpacking season you have to go backcountry backpacking. This hiking trail is a mid length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an excellent backcountry hiking trail for experienced walkers in
    pleasant shape. Tucannon River Trail is mostly a relatively dry site; during the month of December you get the most snow around here; the driest month is July. Every great outdoors trail in Washington is different from the others. Here in the good state of Washington backcountry
backpacking is something that is always fun to do. There are so many backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. Tucannon River Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. High temperatures at Tucannon River Trail during the long summer days are in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Tucannon River Trail. With its 6.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length backcountry hiking trail. Backcountry trekking here  
in the Blue Mountains is a very good way to see these summits. Tucannon River Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. There are many good great outdoors trails in Washington; Tucannon River Trail is one of them, and it's in Garfield County. This is a long backcountry hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Tucannon River Trail has a total elevation difference of 702 feet which is lower than average.

A tour to Teal Spring will fill your spirit with splendid feelings. There's so much to do here at Tucannon River Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Spruce Spring Campground is a wonderful place for that. Sunflower Flat is a good place here at Tucannon River Trail; if you came to camp Big Spring Campground is a good location to do that.
Don't leave Tucannon River Trail without first paying a visit to Tamarack Spring, and why not a little side visit to Bear Creek. So many exciting things to do here in the Blue Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Elk Flat is right here at Tucannon River Trail, and do go to Sheep Creek if you're here at Tucannon River Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be.
