Briefly about the general area:
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Getting to Studebaker Creek from Toutle River Trail is
easy; a spree to close by Bear Cove is very relaxing.
These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. A great place near Toutle River Trail is Sheep Canyon, and if you came for an overnight stay Merrill Lake Campground is a great
place to camp. Sugar Bowl is a nice place to check out, and Siouxon Creek is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. A short spree to Loowit Falls is always worthwhile; Elk Prairie is a pretty
place any time of year.
Kalama Spring is always fun to check out; a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Toutle - South Fork. Beaver Bay Campground is a magnificent local campground, and some of the water close by flows, like South Fork Castle Creek.
