Washington hiking trails - Three Peaks Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

   
  When you're here in Washington backcountry backpacking along one of its great outdoors trails is something that is always fun to do. There are so many splendid great outdoors trails for backcountry backpacking in Washington, and Three Peaks Trail is one of them, and it's in Lewis County. Three Peaks Trail is not very in close proximity to Hood River at all, but it is a brilliant wilderness hiking trail. Every great outdoors trail in Washington has its own unique prettiness. This is one of many trails in the surrounding region. This trek shouldn't take more
    than 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. During the days of summer at Three Peaks Trail temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold
winter nights at Three Peaks Trail are in the 20's. We all need to get out in nature once in a while, and Three Peaks Trail in Lewis County, Washington is a brilliant site for getting out. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. The backpacking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very pleasant way to see these highlands. There's not much difference in elevation along Three Peaks Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before  
you go. This is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Washington is a splendid site for backcountry walkers. With its 7.6 miles of walking distance it's a mid length walk. Three Peaks Trail is a wet site that gets much rain; through January this neighborhood sees the most snow while July is mostly the driest month. The length of this backpacking trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a great challenge. Three Peaks Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,240 feet which is an average number.

Briefly about the general area:
A splendid place for whitewater paddling next to Three Peaks Trail is Summit Creek, and it's a glorious idea to go to Lost Creek. Having a glorious time in the Northern Cascade Range is easy. At Packwood Dam near Three Peaks Trail there are some exciting things to see, and a quick journey to Upper Lake Creek is absolutely a brilliant idea.
Three Peaks Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Hatchery RV Campground is a pleasant local campground. This is such a wonderful river. If you came to camp Palisades Campground is a great spot to do that, and you can run the rapids of Cowlitz River - Clear Fork.
