Washington hiking trails - Three Peaks Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

   
  Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the outdoors a bit, and Three Peaks Trail in Lewis County, Washington is just the place. A lengthy journey divides Hood River from Three Peaks Trail, but backcountry trekking it is always enjoyable. Great backpacking and hiking trails in Washington are in abundance; among these are Three Peaks Trail in Lewis County. There's not much difference in elevation along the trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry walk. No chance of getting bored in Washington if
    you like the outdoors. There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Washington, and each one has its own character. This is a region covered with lots of backcountry trails. Through the summertime months at Three Peaks Trail highs are mostly in the 70's. Summer nighttime
lows dip down to the 40's. All through the winter this site gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Three Peaks Trail. This is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Backcountry hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a tremendous way to explore these hills. With its 7.6 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. The high level of rain makes Three Peaks Trail a quite wet site; the wettest month of  
the year is frequently January, that's the one that snows the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 1,240 feet which is an average number. The length of Three Peaks Trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a splendid backcountry trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in tremendous shape. Here in Washington backcountry backpacking is something that is always fun to do. This wilderness trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. This walk shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.

Briefly about the general area:
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Three Peaks Trail. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Packwood Dam. There's so much to do here at Three Peaks Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Hatchery RV Campground is a good location for that.
This spot, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. It's a tremendous idea to explore Lost Creek, it's close to Three Peaks Trail, and you can stay the night at Palisades Campground. Get drenched paddling on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork; Mount Rainier National Park is a wonderful local destination. A quick trip to Upper Lake Creek in the neighborhood of Three Peaks Trail is a glorious idea; soar down the rapids of Summit Creek in a kayak.
