You spend the whole hike in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. Swan Lake Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Swan Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 378 feet which is lower than average. This is not a very long great outdoors hiking trail but it's always tremendous to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 1.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Swan Lake Trail is 1.8 miles long it's a short wilderness hiking trail.
