Here in Washington hiking is always an enjoyable thing to do. Now this trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Swamp Lake Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress
    differently at different elevations. With its 7.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. We all need to get out in the wilderness once in a while, and Swamp Lake Trail in Yakima County, Washington is such a brilliant place. For the period of the summer months
highs here at Swamp Lake Trail reach the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Swamp Lake Trail temperatures drop to the 20's. The pretty great outdoors hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really magnificent way to spend quality time in nature. This is a vicinity covered with lots of backpacking trails. Swamp Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,563 feet, and that is about average. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place.

Swamp Lake Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lodgepole Campground is a magnificent local campground, and paddling on American River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Swamp Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Morse Creek Campground is a tremendous site for that, and why not a little side visit to Cougar Creek.
That right there is loads of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Big Basin is a great place to check out; get dripping wet paddling on Chinook Creek. Red Rock Creek is a good site to explore.
