outdoors. Swamp Lake Trail is very far from the closest full-size city, and trekking along this wilderness trail is very amusing. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Swamp Lake Trail with night lows in the 40's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; night lows
at Swamp Lake Trail during the winter usually fall into the 20's. This wilderness hiking trail is a normal length wilderness hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a tremendous backpacking trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in magnificent shape.
When you're here in Washington backcountry trekking along one of its great outdoors trails is so much fun.
Briefly about the general area: Chinook Creek is a perfect whitewater spot near Swamp Lake Trail. Red Rock Creek is next to Swamp Lake Trail and is always a bliss
to stop by; a fine place for whitewater paddling is American River. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Swamp Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Morse Creek Campground
is a wonderful location for that; why not take a little visit to Cougar Creek since you're here. If you came to camp Lodgepole Campground is a good place to do that; do set aside some time for Big Basin while you're here at Swamp Lake Trail.
