Washington hiking trails - South Side Trail, Okanogan County

Hitting the backpacking trails is always an enjoyable thing to do, and South Side Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is a splendid location for getting out. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do
    check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Different parts of South Side Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors
trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Going for a backcountry trek here in Washington is always an enjoyable thing to do. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 2.5 days normally, so it's a brilliant thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. At South Side Trail you don’t see much rainfall; throughout the month of December you get the most snow around here while July is commonly the driest month. South Side Trail is 17.8 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. South Side Trail is a very long  
way away from modern life, and many folks like to walk here to be in the neighborhood of the fresh air. This is a vicinity covered with lots of backpacking trails. This wilderness hiking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a perfect backpacking trail for experienced walkers in great shape. South Side Trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. All through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at South Side Trail while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for South Side Trail. Now this backpacking and hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Briefly about the general area:
East Fork Myers Creek is a pleasant site to go to, and if you came to camp Bonaparte Lake Resort and Restaurant is a glorious place to do that. So many cool things to do at South Side Trail, so little time.
Bigham Flat is a great spot to check out, and Duff Spring is a great local attraction. Since you're here at South Side Trail why not visit Aeneas Valley, and why not a little side spree to Little Bonaparte Creek. It's always great to stop at Lightning Spring, and camping at Lost Lake Campground is always a delightful experience.
