    of walking distance; it's a long hiking and backpacking trail. Now, this is roughly a 3-day backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. During the summertime
months at South Fork Trail highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at South Fork Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 2,192 feet which is about average. Around South Fork Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. This wilderness hiking trail is a very long wilderness hiking trail having an average  
number of uphill miles which makes this hiking trail fine for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chewuch River. A spree to South Fork Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Stump Springs; Long Draw is a brilliant place to spend some time.
A quick trip to Hilltop Creek in close proximity to South Fork Trail is a great idea, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bottle Spring. If you came to camp Iron Gate Campground is a great place to do that; you are near Juniper Point since you're here. So many exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range, just astonishing. Cold Creek flows through this vicinity, and don’t forget to go to Hodges Horse Pasture while you're here at South Fork Trail.
But wait, there's more to do near South Fork Trail. There's so much to do here at South Fork Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Daisy Campground is a magnificent place for that, and a great place like Hunter Meadows here at South Fork Trail is too magnificent to miss.
