backpacking season. Being 2.2 miles long it's a short trail. South Asotin Trail is not that long but it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Hiking here in the Blue Mountains is the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. The number of
trails in this area is not very high. This hiking trail is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this trail great for the average hiker looking for an amusing adventure. This backcountry hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure
you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.
Briefly about the general area: Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. Camping is available at Wickiup Campground. Why not camp at Misery Spring Campground if you're here at South Asotin Trail, and a short trip to Park Spring is always worthwhile.
