This backcountry hike should take you about 2.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. For the duration of the long summer days here at Sourdough Lookout Trail, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down  
to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sourdough Lookout Trail are in the 20's. A great deal of precipitation falls at Sourdough Lookout Trail; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July. Washington has plenty of perfect backcountry trails, and among these are Sourdough Lookout Trail in Whatcom County. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding region. Spending too much time indoors got you down? All year is a tremendous time in the Northern Cascade Range if you like the outdoors. John Pierce Waterfall is a tremendous local attraction, and Reflector Bar is also a great site to look at. So many entertaining things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too good to be true. Big Bear Campground is a tremendous campground nearby; don't forget to take a great little spree to Riprap Creek. Gorge Creek Falls is a wonderful location to take a look at while you're at Sourdough Lookout Trail, and get drenched paddling on Granite Creek.
Whitewater paddling is good on Stetattle Creek; Colonial Creek Campground is a perfect local campground. Ross Dam is pretty and it's near Sourdough Lookout Trail, and you should stop by Thunder Arm when you're here.
