an area covered with lots of hiking trails. Snyder Trail is a location that is relatively dry commonly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so do check for current
fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There's not much difference in elevation along Snyder Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish.
Briefly about the general area: Fir Creek is a brilliant
local stream; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Russell Spring. Camping is available at Sweat Creek Campground, and a spree to Gooseberry Meadow invigorates the soul. If you came for an overnight stay Swan Lake Campground is a great spot to camp, and some of the water nearby flows, like Sweat Creek.
