This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Different parts of this backpacking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This is a two-ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 3 miles of walking distance it's a short backpacking trail. Snowshoe Butte Trail is not that long but it's always nice to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
