    for Smith Creek Trail. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Some parts of this wilderness hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness hiking
trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness hiking trail. Smith Creek Trail is 6.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. The high level of precipitation makes Smith Creek Trail a pretty wet site; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This great outdoors hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,573 feet, and that is higher than average. Smith Creek Trail is a hiking and backpacking trail rather far from Longview-Kelso, but when you spend some time trekking here you will feel like a whole new person. Now this trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out.

Briefly about the general area:
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. If time allows, Mount Rainier National Park is a national park worth taking a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Muddy River. Swift Forest Campground is a splendid campground nearby, and Ape Canyon is a great place to stop by.
If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Smith Creek Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Quartz Creek Big Trees Campground is a great site to camp; Plains of Abraham is a scenic spot any time of year. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Lewis River - North Fork; while you're here you have to have a look at Duck Bay.
