Washington hiking trails - Siouxon Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  With so many outdoors activities available in Washington you'll never get bored. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Siouxon Trail in Skamania County, Washington is a nice location to go. Here in Washington backcountry backpacking is a glorious way to spend some time. This backpacking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 8.5 hours, but of course some people
    walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Trekking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a good way to explore these peaks. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Siouxon Trail get into the 70's. Through
the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Siouxon Trail. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 1,860 feet, and that is about average. With its 9.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking trail. Siouxon Trail is not very near Hood River at all, but backcountry hiking trails like these are brilliant. Siouxon Trail gets a lot of water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July  
is generally the driest month. The length of this hiking trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced walkers looking for a splendid challenge. Each trail in Washington is different from the others. Siouxon Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There are so many backcountry trails in this region. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Great outdoors hiking trails are great and plentiful in Washington, and one of these is Siouxon Trail in Skamania County.

Briefly about the general area:
Some of the water close by flows, like Wildcat Creek, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling close to Siouxon Trail is Siouxon Creek, and camping at Siouxon Trail is fine fun, Canyon Creek Campground is a fine local campground.
