Washington hiking trails - Siouxon Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  Washington has so much to offer the outdoors lovers. Hey, time for a trek don’t you think? Siouxon Trail in Skamania County, Washington is a wonderful place for getting out. Every Washington wilderness trail has its own unique prettiness. It's a lengthy journey from Hood River to Siouxon Trail, but it is a wonderful great outdoors trail. These backpacking and hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountains. Being 9.6 miles long; it's longer than many hiking trails. And keep in mind that there could be temporary
    safety restrictions in spot. Siouxon Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a good hiking trail for experienced trekkers in fine shape. There are so many glorious wilderness trails for hiking in Washington, and one of these is Siouxon
Trail in Skamania County. Summertime at Siouxon Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Siouxon Trail are in the 30's. Backcountry trekking in Washington is so much fun. This is a region covered with lots of hiking trails. Siouxon Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,860 feet which is about average. This wilderness trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone  
to pick you up at the other end. The time needed for this walk is roughly 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a backpacking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Siouxon Trail frequently gets much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

Briefly about the general area:
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Camping at Observation Berryfield Campground is always a nice experience, and there's some flowing water nearby, Horseshoe Creek is a stream you can pop by while here.
Paddling on Siouxon Creek is so much fun; float down the rapids of Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary in a kayak. If you came to camp Canyon Creek Campground is a glorious site to do that, and Wildcat Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit.
