Washington hiking trails - Silver Creek Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

   
  You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Silver Creek Trail in Lewis County, Washington is a really great place to spend some time. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is a tremendous way to spend some time. Every single Washington backpacking and hiking trail has its own character. This is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this region. Silver Creek Trail is a wet place that gets much rain;
    the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. Silver Creek Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking
trail. Silver Creek Trail is a two ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. You'll need to go far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue to get to Silver Creek Trail, but trails like these are great. Silver Creek Trail is a great outdoors trail of great length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness trail nice for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Trails are pleasant and plentiful in Washington; one of them being Silver Creek Trail in Lewis  
County. During the warmest time of the year here at Silver Creek Trail, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while Silver Creek Trail overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. The great outdoors trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very great way to see these mountains. This hike shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 718 feet which is a lower than average number. With its 9.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long hiking trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This part of Washington is always a bliss to visit during backpacking season.

A quick spree to Horse Creek close to Silver Creek Trail is a great idea. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Silver Creek Trail has to offer, you can camp at High Rock Campground. Silver Creek Trail really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Don't miss out on a spree to Mount Rainier National Park if you're here at Silver Creek Trail.
Places like Bear Prairie are good to stop by. There's so much to do here at Silver Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Longmire Campground is a magnificent place for that. Kautz Creek flows through this neighborhood, and whitewater paddling is great on Skate Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. If you feel like a little side journey, try Cougar Gap; Silver Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
