| | Trail temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Shrew Creek Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This hiking trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are so many delightful great outdoors trails for backcountry trekking in Washington; one of them being Shrew Creek Trail in Okanogan County. Shrew Creek Trail gets very little rainfall; the month
with most of the snow is December, and July on the other hand is the driest. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,639 feet which is higher than average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and if you
happen to be in Okanogan County of Washington, Shrew Creek Trail is a good local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head
out. Different parts of this backcountry trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail.
Briefly about the general area: North Granite Creek flows through this
neighborhood; camping is available at Loup Loup Campground. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is great! There's some flowing water nearby, Little Granite Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay, and if you came for an overnight stay Salmon Meadows Campground is a great site to camp.
