Washington hiking trails - Shrew Creek Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County       No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like the outdoors. Each backcountry trail in Washington is different from the others. Tremendous backcountry trails in Washington are in abundance, and one of those is Shrew Creek Trail in Okanogan County. When you're here in Washington backcountry trekking along one of its backcountry trails is a brilliant idea. Shrew Creek Trail is 7.8 miles long it's a mid length walk. This great outdoors trail has a total elevation difference of 2,639 feet which is higher than average. For the duration of the summertime months,     highs commonly are in the 80's at Shrew Creek Trail. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Shrew Creek Trail through the winter ordinarily drop into the 10's. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding region. Shrew Creek Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. The length of this hiking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced backcountry trekkers looking for an excellent challenge. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Shrew Creek Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride   from someone, you can walk it just one way. Rather far from Wenatchee you come across Shrew Creek Trail, but what a good place for backpacking it is. We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and Shrew Creek Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is just what you need. Shrew Creek Trail is pretty waterless commonly; December is the month that gets the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Great outdoors trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a great way to explore these mountains. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Briefly about the general area: It's a fine idea to explore North Granite Creek, it's right next door to Shrew Creek Trail; Shrew Creek Trail is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Loup Loup Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you're here at Shrew Creek Trail, you could have a look at Little Granite Creek; you can stay the night at Salmon Meadows Campground.
