Shoe Lake Trail is a wet spot that gets a good deal of precipitation; January is when you get the most snow here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is one of many trails in the surrounding neighborhood. The   time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. With its 8.6 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry trek. Shoe Lake Trail is a mid-length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this trail magnificent for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you're here at Shoe Lake Trail, you could pop by Scatter Creek; get yourself into a kayak and hit Summit Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Shoe Lake Trail. Camping at Knuppenburg Lake Campground is always a perfect experience, and soar down the rapids of Cispus River in a kayak.
