    splendid length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a brilliant challenge. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Please follow
all local rules about fires and camping. Here in Washington backcountry backpacking is always an amusing thing to do. Summer at Shellrock Lake Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Shellrock Lake Trail are in the 10's. Shellrock Lake Trail is 13.8 miles long; it's a long wilderness trail. Some parts of Shellrock Lake Trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, and  
that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. Shellrock Lake Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during January this vicinity sees the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. There are so many backpacking trails in this region. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry walk, 2 days normally, so it's a wonderful thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. The total elevation difference for Shellrock Lake Trail is 2,067 feet which is about average. The gorgeous hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very splendid way to see these mountaintops. Shellrock Lake Trail is a long trip away from Ellensburg, but what a good spot for trekking it is.

Why not visit nearby North Fork Clear Creek while you're here at Shellrock Lake Trail, and you can stay the night at White Pass Campground. Blankenship Meadows is right here at Shellrock Lake Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Tieton River - South Fork. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Everybody loves Indian Creek Meadows. There's so much to do here at Shellrock Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a good place for that.
Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. It's a fine idea to stop at South Fork Clear Creek, it's in the vicinity of Shellrock Lake Trail, and don't leave Shellrock Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Indian Spring. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Mosquito Valley is a magnificent spot to explore; get soaked paddling on American River.
