Washington hiking trails - Sheep Lake Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County       Here in the brilliant state of Washington trekking is always an enjoyable thing to do. This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 3,905 feet which is higher than average. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Sheep Lake Trail reach the 60's, and during   summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Sheep Lake Trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Being 13.6 miles long; it's a long backpacking trail. Sheep Lake Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Far from modern life you stumble on Sheep Lake Trail, and you always have an excellent time when you're backcountry hiking along it. These hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very perfect way to see these mountaintops. You don't have to go far from Sheep Lake Trail to enjoy Grove of the Patriarchs, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Summit Creek. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Getting to Olallie Creek from Sheep Lake Trail is easy, and Sheep Lake Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Summit Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground. Near Sheep Lake Trail you discover Carlton Pass which is a perfect location to go to, and a magnificent site to camp here at Sheep Lake Trail is Soda Springs Campground. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Don't leave Sheep Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Log Spring, and a fine location like Cedar Flats here at Sheep Lake Trail is too magnificent to miss.
