The hike is not that hard whoever said it takes 8 hours it's a lie. Even my slow mom took her a total of 4 hours in and out. Says John Huey
The total elevation difference for Sheep Lake Trail is 3,905 feet which is higher than average. With its 13.6 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many great outdoors trails. This is a backcountry trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This great outdoors trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors trail could be very different from other parts of it. Sheep Lake Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. This trek should take you about 2 days, so it's a wonderful thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.
