at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 3,905 feet which is higher than average. With its 13.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking trail. During the summertime here at Sheep Lake Trail, high temperatures mostly reach the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sheep Lake Trail are in the 10's. This is a hiking trail that is  
quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. These hiking and backpacking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. This backcountry hike should take you about 2 days, so it's a brilliant thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Camping is available at Summit Creek Campground; a trip to Log Spring will fill your soul with nice feelings. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Cedar Flats is a wonderful place any time of year.
And that's not all the things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. A magnificent place in the vicinity of Sheep Lake Trail is Carlton Pass, and do have a look at Olallie Creek since you're here at Sheep Lake Trail. Don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Allred Creek, and Summit Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area close to Sheep Lake Trail has to offer. Why not camp at Soda Springs Campground if you're here at Sheep Lake Trail It's always good to stop at Fish Ladder Falls.
Paddling on Chinook Creek is so much fun, and close by you'll stumble on a wooded region called Grove of the Patriarchs.
