Seventeenmile Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There's not much difference in elevation along Seventeenmile Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness trail. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 695 feet which is a lower than average number. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and night lows at Seventeenmile Trail during the wintertime regularly drop into the 10's. A visit to Refrigerator Canyon is always fun, and Sherman Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Why not camp at Twentyone Mile Campground if you're here at Seventeenmile Trail; swing by Rabbit Creek it's a magnificent location to visit.
