Seventeenmile Trail has a total elevation difference of 695 feet, and that is lower than average. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 2.5 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Seventeenmile Trail is 15 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. This backpacking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Seventeenmile Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This is a long backpacking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.
