Washington hiking trails - Sawtooth Trail, Blue Mountains, Columbia County

   
  Backcountry backpacking in Washington is a good way to spend some time. Washington is a tremendous location for backcountry trekkers. Sawtooth Trail is not very close to La Grande at all, but you always have an excellent time when you're backcountry hiking along it. There are so many wilderness hiking trails in this region. At Sawtooth Trail throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this site gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Sawtooth Trail.
    The amount of rain that falls at Sawtooth Trail is close to the national average; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough
supplies. This trail is a trail of perfect length having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful wilderness hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in glorious shape. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Each one of the many wilderness hiking trails of Washington is charming in its own way. Sawtooth Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. Sawtooth Trail is 26.6 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. Of course, this  
is an overnight backcountry trek, 4 days normally, so it's a magnificent thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Sawtooth Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for Sawtooth Trail is 3,580 feet which is higher than average. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The trails of the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands. When was the last time you got out in the fresh air a bit? Sawtooth Trail in Columbia County, Washington is just the spot. All year is a wonderful time in the Blue Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Cougar Canyon is a good site to pop by nearby, and Lady Spring is a stunning site to explore while you're at Sawtooth Trail.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains, too nice to be true. Dexter Spring is a brilliant local attraction, and locations like Elk Flat are great to stop by. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are really abundant here at Sawtooth Trail. Burnt Flat is a gorgeous site any time of year, and you can run the rapids of Grande Ronde River. Sawtooth Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Bear Canyon Campground is a good local campground, and getting to North Fork Wenaha River from Sawtooth Trail is painless.
There's so much to do here at Sawtooth Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Godman Campground is a brilliant place for that, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Elk Creek.
