Rock Creek Trail is a long tour away from Hood River, but when you trek it you're always having a
    tremendous time. This hiking and backpacking trail is a normal length hiking and backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a brilliant backcountry hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in brilliant shape. Please follow all local rules
about fires and camping. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very pleasant way to see these summits. With its 7.2 miles of walking distance it's an average length backcountry trail. Now this backcountry hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Summertime at Rock Creek Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically  
in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rock Creek Trail are in the 30's. Rock Creek Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. Rock Creek Trail is a two ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Washington is a brilliant outdoors state. When you're here in Washington backcountry hiking along one of its backpacking trails is always an amusing thing to do. This is just one of a large number of backcountry hiking trails in this neighborhood. The high level of precipitation makes Rock Creek Trail a pretty wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most; July on the other hand is the driest.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Rock Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Little Soda Springs Campground is a wonderful site for that. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back persistently. Rock Creek Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Lewis and Clark RV Park is a splendid local campground; swing by Steep Creek it's a brilliant spot to have a look at.
Wind River Experimental Forest is a forest near Rock Creek Trail that you can go to, and you can run the rapids of Trout Creek. Visit North Fork Snag Creek since you're here at Rock Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on Rock Creek - Columbia River Tributary for all you adrenaline people.
