Washington hiking trails - Richmond Mine Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County

   
  Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and Richmond Mine Trail in Yakima County, Washington is a wonderful location to go. Richmond Mine Trail is not very in close proximity to Ellensburg at all, but it is a really good wilderness trail. Every trail in Washington is worth backcountry backpacking. These backpacking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Richmond Mine Trail get into the 70's, and all through summer
    nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Richmond Mine Trail. This is a long backcountry trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of wilderness hiking trails. Wilderness
trails are perfect and plentiful in Washington; one of them being Richmond Mine Trail in Yakima County. Much rain falls at Richmond Mine Trail; January is when you get the most rain here while July is frequently the driest month. This hike shouldn't take more than 9 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Washington is a good spot for outdoors people. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you'll be backcountry trekking  
it in and back out. Here in the perfect state of Washington backcountry backpacking is an excellent way to spend some time. With its 10 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. The length of Richmond Mine Trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a wonderful wilderness hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in great shape. Different parts of this wilderness hiking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the wilderness hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Richmond Mine Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,203 feet which is a higher than average number.

Briefly about the general area:
If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bumping River, and Thunder Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Whitewater paddling is great on American River.
Scab Creek is a stream that you may run into while here; do put some time aside to spend at Soda Springs since you're here at Richmond Mine Trail. Richmond Mine Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Bumping Crossing Campground is a brilliant local campground It's always good to explore Clover Spring. Having a perfect time in the Northern Cascade Range is simple. Camping at Cougar Flat Campground is always a magnificent experience; Carmelita Basin is a good site to stretch your legs a bit.
