Washington hiking trails - Ray Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Backpacking here in Washington is a must. There are plenty of backcountry hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is different from the others. Because Ray Trail is very distant from society, you always have a brilliant time when you're backcountry trekking along it. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors trails in this vicinity. Even though this is not a very long wilderness trail it's always fine to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. With its 2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry
    trek. There are backcountry hiking trails all over Washington, and one of those is Ray Trail in Okanogan County. The backcountry hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking
trail. The hiking and backpacking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really perfect way to spend quality time in the great outdoors. The time needed for this trek is roughly 1.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This great outdoors hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 442 feet which is a lower than average number. Around Ray Trail you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is when it's the driest. Sometimes this wilderness trail gets  
really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Going for a trek here in Washington is always a fun thing to do. Ray Trail is a two ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry walk it just one way. Ray Trail is a very short hiking and backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors trail perfect for the average hiker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the wilderness a bit, and Ray Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is a brilliant choice. Summertime highs at Ray Trail typically tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's; overnight lows all through the winter for Ray Trail tend to be in the 10's.

Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is great! Why not camp at Alder Campground while you're here at Ray Trail. Camping at Ray Trail is fine fun, Kerr Campground is a fine local campground, and Muckamuck Pass is positively a fine location to stop by.
