Washington hiking trails - Ray Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Washington has plenty of good hiking trails, and Ray Trail in Okanogan County is one of them. Gotta get out of the town man, and Ray Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is a brilliant location to go. Each one of the many hiking trails of Washington is different from the others. During the summer at Ray Trail temperatures are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Ray Trail descend
    into the 10's. Ray Trail gets very little precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is July. Ray Trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a glorious backpacking trail for the average person looking
for a glorious adventure. The total elevation difference for Ray Trail is 442 feet, and that is lower than average. These wilderness trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are an excellent way to explore these mountaintops. There are not too many backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Ray Trail being so far from the most adjacent town, it's one of those locations where backcountry backpacking is nice. With its 2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type hike. Ray Trail is a two  
ended trail with two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 1.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This great outdoors trail is not that long but it's always wonderful to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. When you're here in Washington backcountry trekking along one of its hiking trails is the good thing to do. If you are in Washington during backcountry trekking season you have to go backcountry trekking. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish.

And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Kerr Campground is a good local campground. If you came for an overnight stay Alder Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and Muckamuck Pass is absolutely a tremendous place to take a look at.
