Washington hiking trails - Quartz Creek Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Kittitas County

   
  Quite far from Ellensburg you locate Quartz Creek Trail, but it is a brilliant refuge from the city. In Washington you never run out of outdoors fun. Gotta get out of the city man, and Quartz Creek Trail in Kittitas County, Washington is just the spot. Quartz Creek Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This walk should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Quartz Creek Trail is a two ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk
    it just one way. Some parts of Quartz Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. Every Washington wilderness hiking trail has its own unique loveliness.
For the duration of the days of summer at Quartz Creek Trail temperatures are frequently in the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Quartz Creek Trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Quartz Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. If you happen to be in Washington, why not  
go backcountry trekking, it is the splendid thing to do. The scenic great outdoors hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very fine way to see these mountaintops. Quartz Creek Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for an excellent challenge. Hiking trails are splendid and plentiful in Washington, and one of these is Quartz Creek Trail in Kittitas County. With its 13.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many wilderness trails. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 3,413 feet, and that is higher than average. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this area.

Briefly about the general area:
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Quartz Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend American River, and if you want a little side trip, try Windy Pass. You definitely have to love the Northern Cascade Range. Don't leave Quartz Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Cedar Spring, and Little Naches River is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to.
There's whitewater on Little Naches River for all you adrenaline people, and a spree to Dry Meadow invigorates the soul. Everybody loves Hereford Meadow, and Halfway Flat Campground II is a splendid campground here. Horsetail Falls is an inspiring site to stop at while here, and camping at Quartz Creek Trail is glorious fun, Little Naches Campground is a glorious local campground.
Man, is there a load of cool stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. South Fork Quartz Creek is a stream that you may come across while you're here.
