  This part of Washington is always a joy to go to during backcountry hiking season. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Pyramid Mountain Trail in Clallam County, Washington is such a fine location. There are plenty of great outdoors trails in Washington; each one of them has its own character. A lot of rainfall falls at Pyramid Mountain Trail; throughout November this vicinity sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There are great outdoors trails all over Washington; one of them being Pyramid Mountain Trail in Clallam County. The
    total elevation difference for this backcountry hiking trail is 2,256 feet which is about average. Here in Washington backcountry backpacking is always an enjoyable thing to do. Hiking and backpacking trails like this one here in the Olympic Mountains are a really wonderful way
to spend quality time in the great outdoors. Pyramid Mountain Trail is not very right next door to Port Angeles at all, but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. You should count on this hike taking about 4.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This hiking trail is a normal length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding backpacking trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure. This trail is not that long but you should  
still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. This is just one of a large number of backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. During the long summer days highs here at Pyramid Mountain Trail reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Pyramid Mountain Trail. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Pyramid Mountain Trail is 5 miles long it's an average length backcountry trail.

Briefly about the general area:
Aurora Creek is in the neighborhood of Pyramid Mountain Trail and is always a pleasure to visit, and Pyramid Mountain Trail is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lyre River Park is a perfect local campground. Be careful coming to Pyramid Mountain Trail, you might not ever want to return home again.
Some close by water includes Smith Creek. There's so much to do here at Pyramid Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Log Cabin Resort and Trailer is a nice spot for that. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Lyre River, and you'll meet a lot of people from Port Angeles here. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. A great place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Pyramid Mountain Trail is Soleduck River - North Fork, and taking a little journey to nearby Neagle Point is a magnificent idea.
