Washington hiking trails - Pyramid Mountain Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

   
  There are plenty of hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is worth backcountry backpacking. This part of Washington is always a joy to check out during backpacking season. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Clallam County of Washington, Pyramid Mountain Trail is an outstanding local backcountry hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Being 5 miles long it's an average length trail. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out walk. Even though this is not a very long backcountry trail
    you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. These great outdoors hiking trails here in the Olympic Mountains are a nice way to explore these summits. A large amount of rain falls at Pyramid Mountain Trail; November is when you get the most rain
here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Different parts of Pyramid Mountain Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. The total elevation difference for Pyramid Mountain Trail is 2,256 feet, and that is about average. Throughout the summertime highs here at Pyramid Mountain Trail get into the 70's; the overnight is a tad chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's; winter nights  
come with lows in the 30's to Pyramid Mountain Trail. There are hiking trails all over Washington, and among these are Pyramid Mountain Trail in Clallam County. This is one of many great outdoors hiking trails in the surrounding area. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. You'll have got to go far from Port Angeles to get to Pyramid Mountain Trail, but many people like to backcountry trek here to be near the wilderness. When you're here in Washington backcountry backpacking along one of its hiking trails never gets boring. The length of this great outdoors hiking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors hiking trail wonderful for the average backcountry hiker looking for an exciting adventure. This trek shouldn't take more than 4.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.

Briefly about the general area:
Neagle Point is rather right next door to Pyramid Mountain Trail; if you're going to from Port Angeles, you won't be the only one. So much amusing stuff to do at Pyramid Mountain Trail, so little time.
Soar down the rapids of Lyre River in a kayak, and of course Smith Creek flows through this vicinity. Log Cabin Resort and Trailer is a pleasant local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Soleduck River - North Fork offers some perfect whitewater. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Olympic Mountains. Pyramid Mountain Trail is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Lyre River Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and since you're here, you could stop by Aurora Creek.
