This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.

Trail temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; night lows during the wintertime for Pretty Bird Trail tend to be in the 10's. Pretty Bird Trail has a total elevation difference of
342 feet which is lower than average. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Pretty Bird Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Backcountry backpacking in Washington
is a good way to spend some time. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 1.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are many glorious great outdoors trails in Washington; among these are Pretty Bird
Trail in Okanogan County. These hiking and backpacking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a fine way to explore these highlands. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
