Washington hiking trails - Pine Creek Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  Every wilderness hiking trail in Washington is worth hiking. There are many good wilderness hiking trails in Washington; among these are Pine Creek Trail in Skamania County. When you're here in Washington hiking along one of its wilderness hiking trails is the good thing to do. This backpacking and hiking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry trail tremendous for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. This hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry
    trek it just one way. Washington is an outstanding location for walkers. Some parts of this backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This trek should take you
about 2 days, so it's a splendid thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Gotta get out of the city man, and Pine Creek Trail in Skamania County, Washington is just what you need. There are so many backcountry trails in this region. The high level of rainfall makes Pine Creek Trail a quite wet spot; all through December this neighborhood sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. At Pine Creek Trail through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the overnight  
is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Pine Creek Trail temperatures descend to the 30's. It's a lengthy journey from Longview-Kelso to Pine Creek Trail, but it is a magnificent backcountry trail. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,561 feet which is a higher than average number. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Backcountry trekking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really magnificent way to spend quality time in the great outdoors. With its 14 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many backpacking trails.

But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Don't leave Pine Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Loowit Falls; if you come at the right time of year, Muddy River offers some great whitewater. While you're here at Pine Creek Trail it's a great idea to have a look at Plains of Abraham, and Duck Bay is not far at all.
Why not stop by nearby Smith Creek while you're here at Pine Creek Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lewis River - North Fork. So much cool stuff to do here at Pine Creek Trail, too good to be true. Ape Canyon is a splendid place to explore, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Harmony Falls.
If you're here at Pine Creek Trail, you could visit Bear Creek. There's so much to do here at Pine Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Quartz Creek Big Trees Campground is a good place for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Stay the night at Swift Forest Campground; a pleasant tour to Sugar Bowl is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
