There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. Every Washington backpacking and hiking trail is different from the others. Being 3 miles long it's shorter than many wilderness hiking trails. Paul Peak Trail is a very short wilderness hiking trail having
    an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking trail nice for the average backcountry walker looking for an exciting adventure. Summertime highs at Paul Peak Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes
with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Paul Peak Trail plunge into the 30's. This hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There's not much difference in elevation along Paul Peak Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Paul Peak Trail in Pierce County, Washington is the great outdoors at its best. Paul Peak Trail is a  
hiking trail relatively far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, but when you backcountry trek it you're always having a fine time. Paul Peak Trail is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. This is not a very long hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,081 feet which is about average. Backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these hills. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. The number of hiking trails in this vicinity is not very high.

Take a little tour to Hayden Creek while you're here at Paul Peak Trail, and if you came to camp Ipsut Creek Campground is a great spot to do that. You should undeniably dedicate some time to Mountain Meadows if you're here at Paul Peak Trail, and getting to North Mowich River from Paul Peak Trail is simple.
Do pay a visit to Mount Rainier National Park since you're here at Paul Peak Trail, and camping at Mounthaven Resort is always a great experience.
