Washington hiking trails - Pass Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

   
  Trekking in Washington is such a magnificent thing to do. Pass Trail is a backpacking trail rather far from Port Angeles, but you always have a magnificent time when you're backcountry hiking along it. Trails are perfect and plentiful in Washington; one of them being Pass Trail in Clallam County. We all need to get out in the great outdoors once in a while, and Pass Trail in Clallam County, Washington is the great outdoors at its best. There are not too many wilderness hiking trails in this region. This is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so make sure
    you bring plenty of supplies. Now, this is roughly a 2-day backcountry trek, so it's a perfect thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. This is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you're looking at an in and out hike. The total elevation difference for this wilderness
trail is 1,206 feet, and that is about average. Here in the perfect state of Washington trekking is always a fun thing to do. Much rain falls at Pass Trail; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Hiking trails like this one here in the Olympic Mountains are a really magnificent way to spend quality time in the wilderness. The length of Pass Trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an excellent wilderness hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in splendid shape.  
Each wilderness trail in Washington is well worth a backcountry hike. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Pass Trail is 11.8 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Pass Trail. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Pass Trail night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's.

Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Olympic Mountains. If you came to camp Minnie Peterson Campground is a fine place to do that; paddling on Calawah River - South Fork is so much fun.
There's so much to do here at Pass Trail that you need to camp here for a while, R and R Sports Center and RV Park is a great location for that, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Cultus Creek. Getting to Hades Creek from Pass Trail is easy, and whitewater paddling is nice on Sitkum River.
