Washington hiking trails - Pass Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

   
  Every single Washington hiking trail has its own unique splendor. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Pass Trail in Clallam County, Washington is just what you need. Pretty far from Port Angeles you come upon Pass Trail, but it's one of those sites where backcountry hiking is good. There are not too many hiking trails in this area. If you are in Washington during backpacking season you have to go backpacking. Going for a backcountry trek here in Washington is a magnificent idea. This great outdoors hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll
    be backcountry trekking it in and back out. Hiking here in the Olympic Mountains is the best way to enjoy these mountains. Now, this is roughly a 2-day backcountry hike, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. There's not much difference in elevation along Pass
Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. A great deal of precipitation falls at Pass Trail; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Tremendous hiking trails in Washington are in abundance; one of those is Pass Trail in Clallam County. The length of this wilderness trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a brilliant hiking trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in great shape. The total elevation difference for this  
great outdoors hiking trail is 1,206 feet which is about average. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Pass Trail. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's; overnight lows all through the winter for Pass Trail tend to be in the 30's. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. With its 11.8 miles of walking distance; it's a long hiking trail. Now this backpacking and hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Hades Creek is a pleasant local stream, and why not camp at Minnie Peterson Campground while you're here at Pass Trail.
Having a wonderful time in the Olympic Mountains is trouble-free. A great location to camp here at Pass Trail is R and R Sports Center and RV Park, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sitkum River. Cultus Creek is a wonderful spot to have a look at; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Calawah River - South Fork.
