distance; it's a long backpacking trail. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day hike, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.

a visit, and Packwood Lake Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, River Bar Campground is a delightful local campground. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cowlitz River;
a good spot is Big Bottom. Camping at Hatchery RV Campground is always a good experience, and Jennings Falls is a gorgeous site to visit while you're at Packwood Lake Trail. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you're here at Packwood
Lake Trail, you could take a look at Upper Lake Creek, and a short visit to Grant Purcell Falls is always worthwhile. This spot, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Lily Basin is right here at Packwood Lake Trail. This river has so much to offer.
There's whitewater on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork for all you adrenaline junkies; why not take a look at close by Lost Creek while you're here at Packwood Lake Trail.
