Washington hiking trails - Oklahoma Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  When was the last time you got out in the fresh air a bit? Oklahoma Trail in Skamania County, Washington is such a fine site. Washington has lots of outdoors endeavors. Oklahoma Trail is not very close to Hood River at all, but many folks like to backcountry trek here to be close to the fresh air. Hiking in Washington never gets boring. The total elevation difference for Oklahoma Trail is 935 feet, and that is lower than average. The time needed for this hike is roughly 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. And keep
    in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Even though this is not a very long backpacking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. The length of Oklahoma Trail is about average having an average number of
uphill miles which makes it a wonderful hiking trail for the average person looking for a wonderful adventure. Washington has plenty of tremendous backpacking trails, and one of those is Oklahoma Trail in Skamania County. All the water falling down from the sky makes Oklahoma Trail a wet location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. The delightful wilderness hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really fine way to spend quality time in the wilderness. There are plenty of backpacking  
trails in Washington; each one of them has something unique to offer. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this neighborhood. Oklahoma Trail is a two ended wilderness trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 4.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. Throughout the summertime months at Oklahoma Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Oklahoma Trail. The wilderness hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish.

This river is so great. If you came for an overnight stay Elk Meadows RV Park is a splendid place to camp; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little White Salmon River.
Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a brilliant time. People from Hood River love to come to Oklahoma Trail, and hey, Beetle Creek is a magnificent local stream. Whitewater paddling is fine on White Salmon River, and why not camp at Ice Cave Campground while you're here at Oklahoma Trail.
