Backcountry hiking in Washington is such a magnificent thing to do. Now, this is roughly a 5-day trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Northern Loop Trail is 32.2 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. Northern Loop Trail is a one trailhead trail, so you'll
    be backcountry hiking it in and back out. This is a great outdoors trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This is a vicinity covered with lots of wilderness hiking trails. Northern Loop Trail is a trail of pleasant length with an average amount of climbing
distance which makes it a magnificent wilderness hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in splendid shape. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Northern Loop Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. This trail has a total elevation difference of 4,766 feet, and that is higher than average. Some parts of this hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking trail which of course means you need to  
be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. Throughout the months of summer at Northern Loop Trail highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this spot gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Northern Loop Trail dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. The trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really pleasant way to spend quality time in the wilderness. It's a lengthy trip from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue to Northern Loop Trail, but many people like to backcountry hike here to be in close proximity to the wilderness. Good backpacking trails in Washington are in abundance, and Northern Loop Trail in Pierce County is one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
What a place this is for outdoors folks. It's always good to explore Van Horn Falls; Ipsut Creek Campground is a good campground nearby. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. A good site for whitewater paddling near Northern Loop Trail is White River, and do set aside some time for Vernal Park if you're here at Northern Loop Trail.
Grove of the Patriarchs is a forest near Northern Loop Trail that you can go to. Clearwater River - White River Tributary is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Northern Loop Trail, and a tour to Garda Falls will fill your soul with great feelings. It's a pleasant idea to have a look at Lodi Creek, it's near Northern Loop Trail, and White River Campground is a great local campground.
A good site near Northern Loop Trail is Windy Gap, and a pleasant spree to Mosquito Flat is a fine way to spend an afternoon. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Why not pop by nearby Granite Creek if you're here at Northern Loop Trail, and nearby you come across Scarface.
