Washington hiking trails - North Twentymile Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County       Here in Washington backpacking is an outstanding idea. This hike shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Sometimes this hiking and backpacking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. North Twentymile Trail is mostly a quite waterless spot; the month with most of the snow is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
