Washington hiking trails - North Twentymile Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Here in Washington backpacking is an outstanding idea. North Twentymile Trail is pretty secluded from the least distant urban center, and backcountry trekking it is always amusing. Backcountry hiking here in Washington is a must. The scenic great outdoors hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these highlands. This hiking and backpacking trail is not that long but it's always nice to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. During the days of
    summer here at North Twentymile Trail, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for North Twentymile Trail. North Twentymile Trail stays roughly
within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Being 5.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. The length of North Twentymile Trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful hiking trail for the average person looking for a wonderful adventure. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 484 feet, and that is lower than average. Hiking  
and backpacking trails for backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Washington, and North Twentymile Trail in Okanogan County is one of them. This hike shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Sometimes this hiking and backpacking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Every Washington great outdoors hiking trail is wonderful in its own way. North Twentymile Trail is mostly a quite waterless spot; the month with most of the snow is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are so many hiking trails in this vicinity. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and North Twentymile Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is a splendid spot for getting out.

If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Chewuch River, and why not pop by nearby South Fork Twentymile Creek while you're here at North Twentymile Trail.
