Washington hiking trails - Nestor Peak Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Nestor Peak Trail in Skamania County, Washington is such a perfect place. for an exciting adventure. Nestor Peak Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Nestor Peak Trail is a quite wet spot commonly with a great deal of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. At Nestor Peak Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the night is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night  
lows during the winter for Nestor Peak Trail tend to be in the 30's. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Sometimes this trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 1,755 feet which is about average. Great hiking trails in Washington are in abundance, and Nestor Peak Trail is one of them, and it's in Skamania County. Nestor Peak Trail is 4.2 miles long it's an average length wilderness trail. Each one of the many hiking trails of Washington has something unique to offer. This is not a very long trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. These great outdoors hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really pleasant way to spend quality time in the outdoors.

Briefly about the general area:
A magnificent place for whitewater paddling close to Nestor Peak Trail is Little White Salmon River. If you came to camp Sunset RV Park is a magnificent location to do that, and there are plenty of people from Hood River here at Nestor Peak Trail.
If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on White Salmon River, and there's some flowing water close by, Wilson Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Nestor Peak Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Ice Cave Campground is a perfect spot for that, and let's not forget Moss Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay.
