  Backcountry hiking here in Washington is the splendid thing to do. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Nestor Peak Trail in Skamania County, Washington is just what you need. Each hiking and backpacking trail in Washington has something unique to offer. There are hiking and backpacking trails all over Washington, and Nestor Peak Trail is one of them, and it's in Skamania County. Nestor Peak Trail is a mid-length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking and hiking trail good for the
    average backcountry walker looking for a cool adventure. Nestor Peak Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,755 feet which is an average number. Different parts of Nestor Peak Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different
conditions on different parts of the great outdoors hiking trail. A great deal of rain falls at Nestor Peak Trail; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. You'll have got to go far from Hood River to get to Nestor Peak Trail, but it is a fun location to hike. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This hiking and backpacking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency  
supplies just in case something happens. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Washington. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is a two-ended wilderness hiking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. This walk shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are so many backpacking and hiking trails in this neighborhood. These backcountry hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. High temperatures at Nestor Peak Trail all through the summer are in the 70's, and the night is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Nestor Peak Trail are in the 30's.

Briefly about the general area:
Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Camping at Sunset RV Park is always a good experience; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little White Salmon River. Getting to Wilson Creek from Nestor Peak Trail is simple, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend White Salmon River.
Nestor Peak Trail is not far at all from Hood River. Nestor Peak Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Ice Cave Campground is a fine local campground, and why not take a little spree to Moss Creek since you're here.
