Nestor Peak Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,755 feet which is an average number. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. This is a two-ended backpacking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Even though this is not a very long hiking and backpacking trail it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This hiking and backpacking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Different parts of Nestor Peak Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backcountry hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it.
