Briefly about the general area: So many amusing things in the Northern Cascade Range, just tremendous. Paddling on Lewis River - North Fork is so much fun, and let's not forget Clearwater Creek
which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. Swift Forest Campground is a good campground nearby, and a good spot to stop by is Lava Canyon. Stay the night at Curly Creek Campground. Muddy River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Smith Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit.
