Washington hiking trails - Muddy River Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  Hiking here in Washington is a fine idea. Washington has plenty of good backcountry trails, and among these are Muddy River Trail in Skamania County. If you are in Washington during backcountry hiking season you have to go backcountry hiking. The hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very glorious way to see these mountaintops. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors hiking trails in this area. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and Muddy River Trail
    in Skamania County, Washington is a really nice location to spend some time. Muddy River Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. Muddy River Trail is a normal length hiking trail having an average
number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors hiking trail perfect for the average backcountry walker looking for a fun adventure. Muddy River Trail is 4.2 miles long it's a mid length walk. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness hiking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Each one of the many backcountry trails of Washington has its own character. Through the days of summer highs here at Muddy River Trail get into the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime  
highs all through the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Muddy River Trail tend to be in the 30's. The time needed for this walk is roughly 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Muddy River Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. The total elevation difference for this backpacking trail is 894 feet which is a lower than average number. Muddy River Trail is not very near Hood River at all, but there's nice natural prettiness waiting for you here along it. Even though this is not a very long wilderness hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.

Why not camp at Swift Forest Campground if you're here at Muddy River Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Lewis River - North Fork offers some great whitewater. Clearwater Creek is a magnificent place to have a look at.
All year is a good time in the Northern Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. Visit Smith Creek if you're here at Muddy River Trail, and soar down the rapids of Muddy River in a kayak. A spree to Lava Canyon is always fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Curly Creek Campground is a good site to camp.
