This hiking and backpacking trail is a mid length hiking and backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. Muckamuck Trail is usually a pretty dried out site; the month with most of the snow is December while July is usually the driest month. Briefly about the general area: Meadow Creek flows through this vicinity. A quick journey to Peak Creek near Muckamuck Trail is a fine idea, and Alder Campground is a good local campground. A perfect place close to Muckamuck Trail is Muckamuck Pass, and Salmon Falls is a perfect local attraction. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range.
