Washington hiking trails - Muckamuck Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  A visit to Washington is not complete without some hiking. Washington has plenty of glorious backpacking and hiking trails, and Muckamuck Trail is one of them, and it's in Okanogan County. There are plenty of backpacking and hiking trails in Washington; each one of them has something unique to offer. At Muckamuck Trail you don’t see much rain; December is when you get the most snow here, and July is when it's the driest. Sometimes this great outdoors hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a
    stove or make a camp fire. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Muckamuck Trail is a two ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry
trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This is a region covered with lots of wilderness trails. Backcountry trekking here in Washington is the glorious thing to do. Muckamuck Trail is in a rather isolated vicinity, and it sure is a a tremendous backcountry trail. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Muckamuck Trail in Okanogan County, Washington is the great outdoors at its best. This walk shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some  
a bit faster. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Muckamuck Trail get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 20's, and night lows at Muckamuck Trail through the winter mostly fall into the 10's. The beautiful great outdoors trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really great way to spend quality time in nature. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,124 feet, and that is about average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The length of this great outdoors trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a splendid wilderness trail for experienced backcountry hikers in glorious shape. With its 8.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length hiking trail. Now this great outdoors hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Nearby Muckamuck Pass is a great site to go if you're at Muckamuck Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Salmon Meadows Campground is a good place to camp. Some nearby water includes Meadow Creek.
So many entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range, just impressive. Salmon Meadows is a wonderful location to check out; Alder Campground is a pleasant campground here. Peak Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Salmon Falls.
