Washington hiking trails - Mount Zion Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

   
  Rather far from Bremerton-Silverdale you run into Mount Zion Trail, but many people like to backcountry trek here to be in the vicinity of nature. There are numerous backpacking trails in Washington, and each one is different from the others. There are backpacking trails all over Washington, and one of those is Mount Zion Trail in Clallam County. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. You should count on this hike taking about 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared
    for that. Hiking in Washington is a fine way to spend some time. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This region does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This is a backcountry trail that is quite long,
so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Mount Zion Trail gets very little rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. In Washington you never run out of outdoors fun. Mount Zion Trail is a mid-length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a perfect hiking trail for experienced hikers in nice shape. The pretty backcountry hiking trails of the Olympic Mountains are a really delightful way to spend quality time in the fresh air. Can’t wait to get out  
in nature, if you happen to be in Clallam County of Washington, Mount Zion Trail is a brilliant local hiking and backpacking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,262 feet which is about average. Some parts of Mount Zion Trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The number of hiking trails in this region is not very high. Mount Zion Trail is 7.8 miles long it's an average length wilderness trail. Throughout the summertime at Mount Zion Trail temperatures are regularly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mount Zion Trail are in the 30's.

Briefly about the general area:
Mount Zion Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Gorge Campground is a great local campground; Bon Jon Pass is without doubt a glorious site to explore. Some of the water nearby flows, like Eightmile Creek, and paddling on Big Quilcene River is so much fun.
There's so much to do here at Mount Zion Trail that you need to camp here for a while, William and Lorraine Sulzbach is a good place for that, and swing by Deadfall Creek it's a perfect place to visit. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the vicinity of Mount Zion Trail. You clearly should love the Olympic Mountains. You must certainly dedicate some time to Cedar Flat if you're here at Mount Zion Trail; glide down the rapids of Dungeness River in a kayak.
