Washington hiking trails - Mount Zion Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Can’t wait to get out in the fresh air, if you happen to be in Clallam County of Washington, Mount Zion Trail is a brilliant local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. The  
number of hiking trails in this area is not very high. Being 7.8 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. These great outdoors hiking trails here in the Olympic Mountains are the best way to enjoy these hills. The time needed for this walk is roughly 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Summertime highs at Mount Zion Trail commonly tend to be in the 60's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Mount Zion Trail. This is a great outdoors hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Washington, and each one is delightful in its own way. If you are in Washington during backcountry trekking season you have to go backcountry trekking.

Eightmile Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay; a glorious site to go to close by is Bon Jon Pass. There's some flowing water close by, Deadfall Creek is a stream you can visit while here, and why not camp at Gorge Campground if you're here at Mount Zion Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Olympic Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dungeness River, and Cedar Flat is a lovely location any time of year.
