A trip to close by Getaway Point is very relaxing, and you can run the rapids of Grande Ronde River. There's so much to do here at Mount Misery Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Spruce Spring Campground is a perfect site for that, and Slide Canyon is nearby, and is a wonderful spot.
