Briefly about the general area: Any time is a glorious time at Mount Defiance Trail if you adore the outdoors. Commonwealth Campground is a brilliant campground here; there's a perfect forest called North Bend Ranger District. Not
enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Mount Defiance Trail is a great spot to camp, Nor'west Motel and RV Park is a great spot, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Pratt River. Take a little spree to Thompson Creek while you're here at Mount Defiance
Trail, and Spider Creek is right next door to Mount Defiance Trail and is always a bliss to check out. This is a great river. A pleasant place in close proximity to Mount Defiance Trail is Melakwa Pass, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork.
