Through the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Mount Cliffty Trail, and the night is quite cooler of course, usually in the 40's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 30's, and night lows all through the winter for Mount Cliffty Trail tend to be in the 20's. Mount Cliffty Trail is a wet spot that gets a lot of rain; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Mount Cliffty Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. With its 9.8 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking and hiking trail. Briefly about the general area: Windy Pass is next to Mount Cliffty Trail and is a tremendous place, and it's a delightful idea to stop by Sand Creek. A tour to West Quartz Creek Falls will fill your soul with perfect feelings; don't forget to take a good little spree to Pileup Creek. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Everybody loves Mathew Meadow; if you come at the right time of year, American River offers some tremendous whitewater. So much fun stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Lost Meadow is a great location, and float down the rapids of Little Naches River in a kayak. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Mount Cliffty Trail. There's so much to do here at Mount Cliffty Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Kaner Flat Campground is a great spot for that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mount Cliffty Trail has to offer, you can camp at Longmile Meadows Campground.
